About Srikanth Kidambi
Srikanth Kadambi, a farmer’s boy who went on to clinch World Number 1 ranking in April 2018, is a well-known Badminton player who was awarded with a Padma Shri in 2018. He had some early successful campaigns in his career when he won silver in mixed doubles at the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games. Later, in 2013, he won the Men’s singles title in Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold event.

He achieved world number 1 ranking for a week during this period.
